As part of the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Initiative, I am excited to anounce our new partnership with McAfee Cares - Online Safety for Kids program. McAfee will provide fun and interactive workshops on cybercrime, cyber security, and cyber ethics for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers at Scout-O-Rama on May 12th. They will also come to your pack, troop, or crew meeting to provide the workshop and Scouts will be able to check off a few requirements on Computer Belt…

We have over 100 cars racing this Saturday at Queen of Apostles School in San Jose.  Pack 328 will be hosting the snack-shack with coffee, hot chocolate, and doughnuts in the morning, and hot dogs, pizza, nachos, and other snacks and drinks in the afternoon.

So, come hungry, and enjoy the fun!

Powder Horn 2012 will be held at Hi-Sierra. What is Powder Horn?  It's for adult leaders and youth 16+ that want to get hand-on experiences with a variety of high adventure activities. The Powder Horn features 1 to 2-hour sessions with experts in a variety of high adventure activities and topics. You not only learn about the high adventure activity and try it, but you learn about safety and meet other great people!!!!

The training team is holding all four leader specific training on Dec. 3rd at the San Felipe LDS facility.  We're hoping that this will be the biggest basic training event inthe history of the council!!!! Please spread the word to any cub, boy scout, varsity or venturing leader that need to be trained for their position!!

I am planning to teaching a monthly CPR class for Scouts & scouters in 2012 Please watch the training section of the website for details and sign ups space will be limited.  I will also offer at least two Wilderness First Aid classes and likely a third in the Fall of 2012

On April 30, 2011 Members of Pack 32 performed the opening flag ceremony for a community event being held at the Harris Lass House Museum.  Part of the festivities included a brand new flag be dedicated to all of the museum volunteers being raised over the museum for the first time.  Everyone was quite impressed…

The new Journey to Excellence achievement program includes a metric to record service hours conducted within your Scouting unit.  This includes any unit service project by a den/patrol as well as individual service projects (Eagle Scout projects).

On February 28th 2011, Cub Scout Pack 32 of Santa Clara held its annual Blue and Gold Banquet and celebrated the Pack's 60th Birthday.  It was a celebration that nobody expected.

Like many older Packs, time, constant changes in guardianship, changes in computer storage, and poor judgement, led to poor historical record keeping.  When I took over as Cubmaster in January of 2010 little of the Pack's history prior to 2007 was know  to anyone still involved.…
